Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices thick sourdough bread
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Make the butter spread: In a small bowl, mix softened butter, mayonnaise, and Parmesan cheese until combined.
- Assemble the sandwiches: Lay out 2 slices of bread and evenly distribute the shredded white cheddar and mozzarella. Top with the remaining bread slices.
- Butter the bread: Spread a generous layer of the butter mixture on the outside of each slice.
- Grill the sandwich: Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook the sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing lightly with a spatula, until golden brown and crispy.
- Melt the cheese: Cover the pan for the last 30 seconds to ensure the cheese is fully melted.
- Serve immediately with your favorite soup or dipping sauce!
Notes
- Use high-quality sourdough for the best crispy texture.
- Low and slow cooking prevents burning and ensures melty cheese.
