Spicy Korean Ramen with Grilled Beef and Creamy Sauce

This Spicy Korean Ramen with Grilled Beef and Creamy Sauce is a flavor-packed fusion of heat, savory grilled beef, and a lusciously creamy sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual dinners, it’s bold, satisfying, and comes together quickly.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 2 generous bowls 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packs of Korean instant ramen (like Shin Ramyun or similar)
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream for dairy-free)
  • 1/4 cup milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 lb (225g) thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin works best)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Optional toppings: sliced green onions, toasted sesame seeds, soft-boiled egg, kimchi on the side

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, grated ginger, garlic, and black pepper. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Grill or sear the marinated beef on high heat until nicely charred. Set aside.
  3. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  4. In a saucepan, heat sesame oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, heavy cream, and milk. Stir well and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Add the cooked ramen to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Divide the noodles between two bowls, top with grilled beef, and garnish with your choice of toppings.

Notes

Adjust the gochujang to your spice tolerance. Add milk or water when reheating to maintain sauce consistency. For best results, store noodles and sauce separately.
