Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great!)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sleeve Ritz crackers (about 30 crackers), crushed
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the shredded chicken until it’s fully coated in the creamy mixture.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with the melted butter. Sprinkle this buttery topping evenly over the casserole.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the cracker topping is golden brown.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Swap in turkey or canned chicken, add veggies like spinach or peas, or spice it up with cayenne. This dish also freezes well!
