  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tail-off
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli (optional)
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced and sautéed (optional)
  • 1 cup spinach, fresh or wilted (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or basil, chopped
  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken and shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked (6-8 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. Add another tablespoon of olive oil and cook the shrimp until pink and opaque (3-4 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  4. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  7. Slowly pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously.
  8. Lower heat and let simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. Mix in Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
  10. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg if preferred.
  11. Add cooked chicken, shrimp, and optional vegetables to the Alfredo sauce. Stir to coat evenly.
  12. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce mixture, ensuring it is well-coated.
  13. Divide onto serving plates and garnish with parsley or basil and red pepper flakes.
  14. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a healthier alternative, use low-fat milk or Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream. Pair with a fresh salad or roasted vegetables for a balanced meal.
