- 2 medium-sized chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tail-off
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 1 cup steamed broccoli (optional)
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced and sautéed (optional)
- 1 cup spinach, fresh or wilted (optional)
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or basil, chopped
- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
Instructions
- Season the chicken and shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked (6-8 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- Add another tablespoon of olive oil and cook the shrimp until pink and opaque (3-4 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Slowly pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously.
- Lower heat and let simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Mix in Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg if preferred.
- Add cooked chicken, shrimp, and optional vegetables to the Alfredo sauce. Stir to coat evenly.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce mixture, ensuring it is well-coated.
- Divide onto serving plates and garnish with parsley or basil and red pepper flakes.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a healthier alternative, use low-fat milk or Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream. Pair with a fresh salad or roasted vegetables for a balanced meal.
