Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
- Extra whipped topping (optional)
- Extra peanut butter crumbs (set some aside from above)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Chill in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.
- In a small bowl, mix together peanut butter and powdered sugar until crumbly. Use a fork to break up large pieces. Set aside about 1/4 cup for topping.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined and fluffy.
- Sprinkle a layer of the peanut butter crumbs over the chilled crust. Pour in the peanut butter filling and spread evenly with a spatula. Add a final layer of whipped topping, if using. Sprinkle the reserved peanut butter crumbs on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set. Overnight is even better for perfect slices.
Notes
Use crunchy peanut butter for added texture, or swap the crust for an Oreo base for a chocolate twist. This pie can be frozen for up to 2 months and still tastes amazing after thawing. Make it ahead for an easy, crowd-pleasing dessert.
